Installation of the Securipool swimming pool barrier
The Securipool removable swimming pool barrier is available with 16mm or 30mm fixings to adapt to all types of surface: paving, earth, grass, concrete, gratings, sand, defective screed, gravel, wood, etc. The Securipool swimming pool barrier is adapted to the specific requirements of hotels, campsites and holiday homes. It can be installed without the help of a professional, and the modules can be re-cut to the desired dimensions. Standard lengths: 1m, 2m, 3m, 4m, 5m, 6m and up to 15 metres.

6-step Securipool swimming pool fence installation guide

  • Drawing a line
    Measure the Securipool pool barrier in relation to the pool. Draw a line so that the posts are aligned. Mark the location of the hole to be drilled with a pen.
  • Drilling the slab
    Drill using a Ø 16 mm Securipool III or Ø 30 mm Securipool drill bit. Vacuum up any dust in the hole, then fit your sleeve. The sleeve should be glued in place once the entire fence has been installed.
  • Hole spacing
    Place the first post in the sleeve. Tighten the bottom braid and mark the location of the next hole with a pencil. Using the net as a template, drill the holes one after the other.
  • Safety catch
    Make the hole in the 2nd section 0.06 m between the pegs, position the sleeve and the peg and attach the safety catch. Then continue with the installation. The rounded tube side of the post must be placed on the outside of the pool, the latch must be on the inside.
  • Cutting the net
    If you need to cut the net, unscrew the screws on the last post. Place the post at the desired size by screwing the top and bottom while stretching the net. You will no longer have the braid on this side, but this will not affect the shape or appearance of the net.
  • Automatic gate
    Fix the plates using dowels (not supplied). The notch in the plate on the lock side is used to bring the post closer to the gate in order to reduce the gap between the gate post and the gate, thus preventing a hand from trying to open the gate.
Installation in compliance with standard NF P90-306
The barrier should be adapted to your constraints (vegetation, furniture, access to be secured, walls, etc.) and those of your pool (shape, type of terrace, solarium, pool house, etc.). If the barrier does not go all the way round your pool, the end posts must be fixed to a fixed element (wall, barrier, etc.), otherwise you will need to provide additional posts to start it off.

If there is an obstacle close to the chosen location, it is preferable to include it inside the layout (the barrier will go behind it), or to go around it (outside the layout and more than 62cm from the Securipool, which is 1.22m high). In all cases, we advise you to draw up a diagram of your pool with the proposed route of the fence, the position of obstacles, the location of wicket gates (optional) and the desired openings.

Tips and tricks for installing the Securipool swimming pool fence

  • Right angle
    If the fence is not closed (partial), 2 right-angled posts are required for tensioning.
  • Installation on 2 levels
    Adjust the level using a 1m module with a customised height (max 1.80m). Correct installation
  • Cut angle
    Unlike a right-angled installation, there is no obligation to install 2 posts with a cut-off angle.
  • Wall to wall installation
    Installation between two walls, with an additional latch to be fixed to the wall when purchased.
  • Roman staircase
    The barrier adapts to a pool with a Roman staircase by following the contours and shapes of the pool.
  • Corner gate 1
    Fitted with a rigid 0.25cm section allowing the gate to be placed after a right angle.
  • Corner gate 2
    Fitted with a normal 1m section, the gate must be positioned at least 1m from the right angle.
  • Curved gate 1
    Fitted with 0.5m rigid sections allowing the gate to be placed in a curve with a sharp angle, total length 2m.
  • Curved gate 2
    Fitted with 1m sections allowing the gate to be placed on a curve with a wide angle, total length 3m
  • Intersection
    Allow 6cm between each section for the latch, possible access to the pool at each intersection
